What Is a DC Fuse Module?

A DC Fuse Distribution Module is a compact device designed to split and protect DC power circuits within control panels or electrical systems. Each channel integrates a fuse holder and LED indicator, allowing quick identification of circuit faults without affecting other lines. When overload or short-circuit occurs, the fuse automatically disconnects that channel, ensuring the rest of the system continues to operate safely.
These modules combine power distribution, overcurrent protection, and clear visual monitoring in one compact DIN-rail unit. They are widely used in industrial automation, solar energy systems, battery cabinets, and vehicle DC applications, helping engineers simplify wiring and enhance electrical safety.

Screw vs Spring Terminals

AOSI offers two connection types for its DC Fuse Distribution Modules — screw terminals and spring terminals — each suited to different wiring preferences and application needs.

Screw-Type Fuse Modules

Screw terminal fuse modules provide strong mechanical fastening for high-vibration environments. This design is preferred in industrial control panels, vehicle systems, or anywhere wiring is subject to movement or thermal expansion.

Firm mechanical connection, resistant to vibration

Suitable for thicker wires or ring terminals

Ideal for fixed cabinet installations

Spring-Type Fuse Modules

Spring terminal fuse modules use a push-in or press-fit design, allowing tool-free and faster wiring. This type is popular in modern automation panels where quick maintenance and high wiring density are important.

Quick, tool-free wiring

Consistent clamping force, even under vibration

Easier re-wiring and maintenance on site

DC Switch Distribution Module Spring-Type

In short, screw terminals prioritize mechanical strength, while spring terminals emphasize speed and flexibility.
Both types are DIN-rail mountable, rated up to 72 V DC and 15 A per channel, and fully compatible with standard automotive-type blade fuses.

Product Selection Guide

AOSI DC Fuse Distribution Modules are available in screw-type and spring-type versions, with 4, 6, or 8 channels to meet different DC system requirements.

How to Wire the Modules

Wiring a DC Fuse Distribution Module is simple and straightforward.
Each module includes one DC input terminal and multiple fused output channels that safely distribute power to different loads.
Step1. Connect the Power Input
Use the proper wire gauge (0.5–6 mm²) according to your current requirement.
Connect the positive (+) line from the DC power supply to the input terminal marked “INor +”.
If available, connect the negative (–) line to the shared ground bus.
Ensure firm contact — tighten the screw or push in the wire depending on the terminal type.

Step2. Connect the Load Outputs
Each output channel corresponds to one fuse.
Connect each load device (such as PLC, relay, indicator light, or sensor) to an individual output terminal marked OUT1 / OUT2 / OUT3, etc.
This structure ensures that if one circuit fails, the others continue running safely.

Step3. Verify Fuse Ratings
Install standard automotive-type blade fuses (ATO/ATC) matching your circuit load.
Example: for a 10A circuit, use a 12A–15A fuse.
Always select fuses rated below your cable’s maximum current capacity.

Step4. Check LED Indicators
After power-up, the LEDs should remain off during normal operation.
If a fuse blows, the corresponding LED turns red, allowing quick fault localization.
